Grey Squirrel (Sciurus Carolinensis)
One of our common garden pest’s has now been seen in almost all common woodlands and gardens throughout most of England. The grey squirrel can be a real pest when living in your home due to there tendency to Knaw.
The squirrel will enter your building often a quite area like the loft and set about making themselves a nest (Dray) site, this can be from insulation material, personal belonging’s left in the loft, or material brought in from your garden or surrounding grounds. They are territorial and will mark their nest site to inform other squirrels in the area of there presence.

The damage caused by the squirrel is evident when we inspect on routine call out’s to homes and businesses, they will collect and remove belongings, soil (fecal / Urine) area’s, Knawing marks (Electrical cables), and cause noise disturbance as they are more active at first and last light of the day.
Squirrel can have 1-2 litters per year often December - January and then May - June time, Litter size of up to 5, females can live for 6 years and males 2 to 3 years.
